We have made great enhancements to our two way sync with QuickBooks Online, asset management and asset tracking, as well as Customer and sub-customer creation for QuickBooks Online right inside of Lexul Field Service. Our customers requested this, so we made it happen!
After adding a new Customer or Sub-Customer (aka ‘Asset’) in Lexul Field Service, these will sync automatically to QuickBooks Online. On top of that, this allows office staff to add customers and sub-customers without having any direct access to QuickBooks Online—so you can keep business transactions private where needed.
Feature Use Cases
Let’s say a location has multiple things being serviced, hvac, alarm, lighting, etc
- The physical location asset (sub-customer) can be synced to QuickBooks
- The other assets, such as hvac, alarm, lighting, etc, are optionally not synced to QuickBooks Online. So while you can create work orders for those assets, the invoices are sent back to QuickBooks linked to the physical location asset or customer.
Frequency New Customers
- Amazingly, you can sync Customers & Sub-Customers to QuickBooks without even opening QuickBooks Online.
Asset Tracking Without Syncing to QuickBooks
- Create an Asset and choose de-select the ‘Sync to QuickBooks’ option
- Invoices are then pushed to QuickBooks Online linked to the Customer
Nested Asset Tracking
- Track equipment at or in a location
- Or, create an Asset (sub-customer) and choose the parent Asset
If the ‘Sync to QuickBooks’ button is selected, these will all sync and show in QuickBooks Online under Customers, Sub-Customers, and their nested (or child) Sub-Customer.
If you’re looking to upgrade QBO two-way syncing, improve Asset tracking and management, or wanting to help keep QuickBooks Online private for certain staff, and more, this may be a great fit for your business needs.
