QuickBooks Online Inventory Hacks: Sync Units of Measure with Lexul Field Service

Lexul Field Service has enabled units of measure to be used with QuickBooks Online! QuickBooks Online does not have a built in units of measure feature [U/M] like QuickBooks Desktop does. However, Lexul Field Service has designed a way to use unit of measure with using base units—thats used on the invoice within QuickBooks Online. Units of measure are standardized quantities that express the magnitude or volume of a measurement or service. For example think of length, weight, volume or other. Units of measure for length could be inches, feet, yards, miles, etc.

Simplify sales and purchasing, improve pricing flexibility, track inventory accurately, and have better reporting and analytics with units of measure through QuickBooks Desktop with our integration.

Adding Units of Measure

Units of Measure are added from inside Lexul Field Service to allow for custom U/M sets, related units, and the ability to add each unit of measure set to any item in your inventory.

Add items with U/M attached and they will show as this on the work order:
(in the sample below, the base unit of measure is feet)

As shown in QuickBooks Online:

Once the invoice has been synced, the base unit of measure will show on the invoice—it’s as simple as that! The conversion rate will only show inside of Lexul Field Service, but not QuickBooks Online, as there is not support for it in QBO.

Use QuickBooks Online and Lexul Field Service for units of measure, and many other different features designed to optimize and improve your business! Don’t forget to check out QuickBooks Desktop Units of Measure, as well.
